  1. Daniel,
Patrick, from PSAV Hawks Cay. You were telling me at your event here you might be able to hook me up with tickets for the Bubbly Fest on Dec 27th. It is looking like I will be able to attend. Chip cannot. If you could hook me up with a couple tickets, that would be great. I’d like to go. Thanks Pat

    • Hi Patrick! This is Rhonda from the Chamber. I’ve forwarded your message to Daniel for you. Have a great Holiday!

  2. Dear Daniel or Rhonda,

I am a first time visitor to Marathon. I rented a house and boat in Key Colony.
After a couple of days here I was looking for something to do. About 9am Thursday March 5th
I stopped in at the Marathon Information center. I walked in and I said to the staff member at the reception desk that I was just looking around. Her response was “the bathroom is over there”
even though I hadn’t asked her where the bathroom was. Then she asked me if I found everything as I was about to leave. Half jokingly I said I was looking for a new way of Life (meaning I might be contemplating buying a home here) She said to me that people had told her that before at by that she said “they were looking to live under a bridge” I Think this person needs to be retrained in “people skills 101” I was insulted by her remarks. First if I had needed a restroom I would have asked for one. I assume that she thought that was the only reason that I was there.
Secondly the remark abut people living under a bridge I think was a slur at my reasons for being there. Her body language and facial expressions did not appear friendly or welcoming.

      Good Morning Tom,
I am sorry I am just now getting back to your comment on our blog, I just recently took over this position from another woman. I wanted to apologize on behalf of the Chamber and Visitor Center for you experience here. We try our best to be helpful and of course pleasant to our visitors. We have a couple ladies who work up in the front desk at the Visitor Center. I am not for sure on which person it was that spoke to you that way. If you would like to email me personally to see if we can get the issue fixed my email is chelsey@floridakeysmarathon.com. Aside from that I hope your visit here went well and if you’re considering moving here and need any additional help, let me know!
      Thank You,
      Chelsey Stewart
