Theo and Ganine’s Dance Center offers ballroom and Latin dance lessons taught by
world-class instructors. Class levels range from “social” — such as help learning the
steps to a first dance performed at a wedding celebration — to advanced
instruction for competitive professionals dancing international and American style
dances. “Dance is both our passion and our profession,” said Theo.
“We are dedicated to bringing joy, happiness and confidence through music
and movement,” said Ganine. Theo is a world champion whose competitive students are consistently ranked at the highest levels. At a 2013 championship held in Los Angeles with more than 15,000 entries, one of Theo & Ganine’s competitive students from the Florida Keys won the overall top competitor in both open international styles of ‘standard’ and ‘Latin.’
“We love what we do, cherish the opportunity to share it and look forward to
helping you make the art of dance part of your life,” said Theo. The couple said they are glad to be back in the Keys after a two-year sojourn to Fort Myers where they owned and operated a large dance school. They said they were fortunate to work with another generation of young professionals, but really missed the island lifestyle.
“More importantly, we missed the people of the Keys,” Ganine said. “We feel
we have come ‘home.’” Theo & Ganine’s Dance Center is a member of the Marathon Chamber of Commerce, and Ganine is a member of Business and Professional Women (BPW). She is the former secretary of the Marathon Rotary Club and Theo is a former president of the Rotary Club. Theo and Ganine’s Dance Center in Gulfside Village is also home to the Budoiki Ru Martial Arts, Island Yoga, Feldenkrais Center, and Giorgione Fine Art.
