Photo Caption:  Pat and Ron Townley celebrate their 50th Wedding Anniversary at their former residence, the Adderley House, now on the National Register of Historic Places and located on Crane Point Museum property at 5550 Overseas Highway in Marathon.  The Townley’s met in the early 1960s in Marathon while Ron was stationed at Cudjoe Key with the U. S. Air Force.  The Townley’s married at St. Columba Episcopal Church and made their first home at the historic Adderley House.  Mary and Francis Crane, for whom Crane Point is named, were their landlords.  After 50 years of marriage they came back to the Keys to celebrate and were pleasantly surprised to find their honeymoon residence was not only still standing, but  has been preserved and is a national historic site.  Pat and Ron Townley now reside in Georgia.
