Crane Point Museum and Nature Center, located at 5550 Overseas Highway in Marathon will host a Volunteer Training on Tuesday, May 13, 2014 from 4 p.m. to 5:15 p.m. The training will take place in the orientation hall next to the gift shop.
Volunteer opportunities include tasks such as cleaning, working in the hammock, distributing flyers, simple maintenance repairs, other miscellaneous duties with an emphasis on summer drivers/guides for the trolley tours and museum docents. There are also opportunities to assist with school field trips and special events where help is needed to run errands, set-up, clean-up, sell tickets and work the events.
Volunteering at Crane Point is a great opportunity to meet people from all over the world, to get out on the nature trails and to give back to your community.
