CRANE POINT OFFERS KAYAK TOURS
Crane Point Museum & Nature Center, located at 5550 Overseas Highway in Marathon, now offers a 2 ½ hour kayak tour as an additional attraction to the nature facility.
Kayak tours will be conducted by Keys Kayak professional guides and include a short narrated walk along the Joewood Trail near the Crane House on the Gulf of Mexico. Introduction to the tour will show how the islands of the Florida Keys transition from the mangroves to the hardwood hammock … a line rarely visible for appreciation by the average guest.
The kayak tour will leave from the dock at the Point near the Crane House. The tour will consist of a guided 1 ½ mile loop which explores the natural mangrove shoreline of Crane Point and three small islands off the coast including Rachel Key.
Tours begin in November and reservations are necessary. Please call 305-743-3900 or 305-743-9100 for details. The Crane Point Guided Kayak Tour all-inclusive package includes admission to the museum and nature trails. Cost for adults is $65 and $37 for children under 12. All necessary equipment is provided.
