This local business specializes in renting bicycles and kayaks to
Marathon visitors. It offers free delivery and pickup year round. The
fleet consists of fixed-gear beach cruisers and a variety of kayaks
including singles, doubles and fishing kayaks. The bikes are
available with baskets, locks and keys.
The business was established in 1992 by Marathon resident Bill
Cooper.
“About 73 percent of my business is repeat customers,” Cooper
said. “That’s because my rates are so reasonable.” As a U.S. Marine
combat veteran himself, Cooper also extends a discount to all
military personnel.
Recently, the business provided 25 bikes for a large family staying
on Duck Key. It also does a lot of business on Key Colony Beach.
Cooper attributes his success to the quality of bikes and kayaks he
delivers. All are in good repair and the service is punctual and
dependable. “I have good reviews on Google,” he said.
Cooper also offers one other service: free snow removal. So far, no
one has taken him up on it!
